Carmel Essence . . .

Carmel Secondary School is a co-educational school located in the region of Morogoro at the beautiful and calm environment of the village of Malolo. The school is surrounded by beautiful mountains and very conducive for study and the improved performance of the school every year speaks for itself.

We are a private, unaided, non-profit institution run by the Carmelite fathers belonging to the Karnataka-Goa Province, India. The life and values of the school are based on an inclusive Catholic Tradition and our Carmelite Way of life.

The name ‘Carmel’ simply means ‘a garden’ in Hebrew. Mount Carmel in Israel is a lush and fruitful place for farmers to raise crops. A garden is a place for life and growth but requires work for that life to flourish. If a farmer does not work the soil, the seeds planted will never grow to their full potential.

Carmel school is like a garden and all our students are those seeds planted in it. The whole Carmel school fraternity does the job of the farmer in order to nourish the seed, take care of it, and to see to it that it grows to its full potential. Thus, the fruits are reaped by all- the school, the family, the society, and the nation at large. To add to it, the student whether a boy or a girl, grows to become self-confident, mature, strong to be able to face the world outside with trust in God and trust in himself or herself.

We are still Growing . . .
